In 1991, the country of Yugoslavia broke apart into three new countries: Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia. This lead to conflict between the ethnic groups. The conflict became an "ethnic cleansing" put together by Serbian forces in 1992. The Serbs wanted to rid the area of Bosnian Muslims because they were against anyone that was not apart of their ethnic group.
